Friday Favorites

Welcome to this new edition of the Busy Bunny Friday Favorites. This week's theme will be "Comfort Food". My head cold is a bit better but we all need comfort when we're sick. That's what inspired my favorites this week. Those pictures are quite yummy. It made me hungry! Take care, a big snow storm is coming up in Canada !

Guess what I caught?

I'm sorry folks, I won't be around that much this week since I caught a big head cold. I'll try to be there for the usual Friday Favorites tough. Wish me luck!

In the mail vol. 2

Today I got another package in the mail. I love getting mail, especially since all my bills are electronic which means that if I get mail it can only be good news! I ordered this from Jaimie over at Books by J-me. I have a long relationship with paper goods since I was a child. Old paper, new paper, pattern paper, stickers, stamps etc. This should be perfect for art journaling!

Ready! Set! Journal!

Friday Favorites

Olà readers! This week's Friday Favorite will be an aqua edition! I simply *adore* this color. And expecting a boy is only an excuse to buy aqua baby clothes! I hope it'll help enlighten this gloomy rainy day.

My mother had the same one when I was young. I spent hours pretending I was a receptionist.

In the mail vol. 1

Look what I've got in the mail! It's a set of bath bombs from Mooka. I ordered it last week. Mooka's shop is in Montreal and I love to buy local. I took Avocado & Aloe, Plum Blossom & Silk, Mango, Oats, Milk & Honey and Raspberry Cream. They came in individual little bags. I was surprised by the size of the bombs. I thought that it would never melt and leave me with as small ball of good but as soon as I put it in the water it started dissolving in a fizzy effect like vinegar and baking soda, only it's smell much better than vinegar. I only tried Avocado & Aloe yet but the smell is really great and it leaves your skin smooth and hydrated. Especially good since winter damages my skin and makes my itchy all over.

Image and products belongs to Mooka

Friday Favorites late edition

Sorry for the late edition of the Friday Favorites, I got caught up with a crappy movie and pizza night with my fiancé. This week's edition will be prints! I've been living in this place for 3 years and I am ashamed to confess that there's no deco, yet. I found a lot of lovely art prints on Etsy and I'll be sharing them with you! I promise...I'll try to decorate the appartment in a few weeks...

Yummy oatmeal and raisins cookie recipe for busy people

Today's recipe is from a friend of mine, Vickie, that spends most of her time baking a ridiculous amount of cookies and pastries. It's a pretty quick recipe so even if you're busy or if you avoid recipes that are too long to prepare, like me, you'll be able to shove those in your mouth pretty quickly.

1 1/2 cup of flour
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1 teaspoon of corn starch
2 cups of large flake oats
1 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of brown sugar
1 cup of soften butter or margarine
2 eggs
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
2 tablespoon of water (use a little more if you use whole wheat flour)
1 cup of raisins

1.In a small bowl mix the flour, baking soda and corn starch together
2.Add the large flake oats and salt
3.In seperate bowl, mix the brown sugar and butter or margarine
4.Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter and brown sugar
5.Pour the content of the small bowl in the mix you just made; add the water and mix together.
6.Roll the dough into teaspoon sized balls and place 2 inches apart onto greased cookie pans
7.Bake at 300°F on the top oven shelf for 12 to 18 minutes

This should give you roughly 100 cookies. If 100 cookies is too much you can keep the leftovers in the freezer. Enjoy!
